The Henry Ford offers the following resources to those who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing:
Sign language interpretation can be scheduled for any tour, program or event with at least two weeks' advance notice. If you are interested in requesting sign language interpretation, please contact our Call Center at 313.982.6001 or email accessibility@thehenryford.org.
Sign Language Interpretation will be available at the following:
- January 17, 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Original Play | "The Beginnings of the Boycott" and 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., Duo Musical Performance | Ashley Baylor & Sean Burden
- January 18, 2 p.m., Reclaiming the Northern Black Freedom Struggle | A Conversation with Dr. Jeanne Theoharis, Author of King of the North
- February 7, 1-1:30 p.m., Black History Month-themed Tour of Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and 2 p.m., Author Talk with Victoria Christopher Murray
- February 15, Black History Month Performances
- March 1, 2 p.m., Author Talk with Dr. Edda Fields-Black
- Assistive-listening headsets are available to use for movie screenings at Giant Screen Experience upon request. Please contact a staff member on-site.
- Closed captioning is available for select films at Giant Screen Experience. Contact accessibility@thehenryford.org for a list of qualified films.
- At Ford Rouge Factory Tour, printed transcripts of the audio in the Legacy Theater are available upon request. Please contact a staff member on-site.
